Madison, SD -- The Association of Independent Institutions has selected its field for this weekend’s State Farm A.I.I. Men’s and Women’s Basketball tournaments. Competition in the single-elimination tournament starts Friday and runs through Sunday at the Dakota State University Fieldhouse in Madison.

As the host school, the DSU Men’s and Women’s basketball teams earn automatic bids. The Lady Trojans will be the fifth-seed and will open the tournament Friday night at 6:00 as they face fourth-seed Valley City State. The winner of that game will face top-seed Jamestown in Saturday’s Semifinals. In the other semifinal game, Indiana Northwest drew the second-seed and will face third-seed Cal State San Marcos on Saturday.

DSU’s men drew a first-round bye and will play second-seed Valley City State Saturday evening at 5:00. Top-seed Jamestown will play the winner between Mayville State and Dickinson State in the other semifinal game.

Winners of the semifinal games will earn automatic qualifying bids to the NAIA National Basketball Tournaments in Sioux City, Iowa, and Point Lookout, Missouri.
