Sioux Falls, SD -- Madison qualified five wrestlers Saturday at the Region 1A Meet at Sioux Falls Roosevelt.

Kaiden Dorris at 113, Matt Goth at 152, Tyler Currey at 182, Blake Gusso at 220 and Ayson Jones at 285 all won medals in Saturday’s competition and will move on to the State “A” Wrestling tournament this weekend in Aberdeen.

Team-wise, the Bulldogs finished seventh with 120 points. Brookings won the meet with 235 points while Watertown was second. Dell Rapids was third with 126 points.

The State “A” Tournament starts Friday and concludes Saturday at the Barnett Center in Aberdeen. We’ll have updates throughout the weekend on KJAM Sports.
