Tri-Valley Girls will play for District title

Colton, S.D. -- The Tri-Valley girls’ basketball team went through their regular season schedule and posted a 17-3 record.  The Mustangs, who were State Tournament participants last season, are two wins away from making it back to the State Tournament in Spearfish.

Tri-Valley enters District play on Thursday on an eight-game winning streak and Head Coach Jeff Breitkreutz believes his team is peaking at the right time entering the postseason.

The Mustangs wrapped up the regular season on February 13th and will have had a nine day break when they take the floor Thursday night.  Coach Breitkreutz says the team has remained focused during the time off.

Tri-Valley will face off against West Central on Thursday night, with the winner going to the Region Championship.  Although they have defeated the Trojans this season, Coach Breitkreutz says that the Mustangs will have their hands full in this matchup.

Tri-Valley will take on West Central in the District 9A Championship game Thursday night in Salem.
