For Senate Majority Leader Russ Olson of Wentworth, former Governor Bill Janklow was his first boss. Olson’s first job in the Governor’s Office of Economic Development brought him up close with who he called “one of the most notorious governors” in the state.


Olson says he can remember how demanding the former governor was.
